My name is Dixie and I am an Airedale Terrier mix. I was born in 2014, and I am a happy girl. I am not a barker, but I believe I could be a good watch dog given the opportunity. I get weight regularly and my last weight was 55 pounds. I am told that I am intelligent and good-natured. I have had a couple of furry friends since I have arrived here and I get along with most other fur-boys and girls, especially when we are introduced on neutral grounds. I was given up by a couple, through a friend of theirs, who realized that being kept in a crate in their apartment when they were at work was not my favorite pastime. So this friend became my friend and my guardian angel. She rescued me and brought me to Desert Haven in the late summer of 2016, and that’s where I live now, until I find my very special fur-ever loving home.
