My name is Scooby and I believe I was born in December 2016. I was a very young puppy when someone discovered me as I was wandering at the edge of the Rio Grande river near Williamsburg, NM. She looked for other puppies like me, my siblings, possibly also abandoned at the river. But she only found me, so she brought me to her home. I became a sweet and happy girl-dog, and I loved spending my life with my beloved human. The world changed for me on that dreadful day when my constant companion passed away suddenly. I had no more home to call my own. But then, someone with a good heart came thru for me. He took me into his home for a little while, to give me a chance to find a new loving home. I got along well with his other dog buddies. However, I need a fenced yard to keep me safe and my caretaker's home does not have a fence. So, Desert Haven took me in until I find a new forever home. I am told that I am a beautiful girl and a good girl. I am friendly with people and I like the company of all the other dogs at Desert Haven, so that's a plus, don't you agree?
