Hello, I'm Austen! I'm a fur-boy who sort of got a bum deal. I lived with my family since I was a tiny puppy. I was loved and cared about and I had fur-siblings (cats and dogs) and parents. Then, through no fault of my own, I couldn't live with my first family anymore. The good people at Desert Haven said I can come to live here until my new family finds me. I'm one-year-old now. Well, guess what, it's been a few months and my new family hasn't found me yet! I know, I'm surprised too. I'm a good, good boy who is playful and gets along with other dogs. I experienced some stress from being surrendered and I lost a little bit of my confidence when meeting new people. I just need a little bit of time to get to know you and then I can show you my happy and playful and fun and friendly self. That's who I really am! I like affection and being close to you and being loved. I enjoy learning new things like the command "sit". I pay attention to you and am eager to be close. I enjoy giving kisses and being told I'm a good, good boy. I like going for walks, being with you, and playing with other dogs. The Desert Haven volunteers said they will help me find The Good Life, so I am getting very excited! I sure hope my new family finds me soon. OH! You found me?! Wonderful! See you soon!
