Hi, I'm Colt! Here are the nuts and bolts about me: I walk great on a leash, love the Great Outdoors, and will make an excellent companion. I'd like to find a family that enjoys hiking and being active in various ways. I have a gentle and darling way of giving hugs. When you bend down to pet me, I will lean into you and you will feel my love so deeply. You'll want to put your arms around me to give me a squeeze right back. I'll let you because I really enjoy affection and knowing you care about me. Mostly I'm gentle and attentive, but when I am with my rowdy doggie roommates I do like to join in on the fun of playing and vying for attention. Sometimes I'll jump up to get closer to you, but I'm learning "off" and good manners. I'm loved by all of the volunteers here at Desert Haven, probably because I'm friendly and affectionate. But there's this one volunteer in particular that says something peculiar every time she sees me. She says "Hi Colt! Aren't you a tall drink of water!" I Googled it and apparently that means I'm long-legged and very attractive. Then I checked Urban Dictionary and it said it means I'm "super delicious"! Like on a hot day, a tall drink of water is absolutely appealing. So, there you have it folks, I'm Absolutely Appealing. If I'm appealing to you, come by soon to meet me!
