Hello, I'm Ariel! The volunteer that said she'd write up a biography for me said we could just say -- Perfect Cat-- and leave it at that. This volunteer isn't one to wear rose-colored-glasses, rather, she's pretty particular in what she likes in a feline. And this volunteer said I'm Perfect. That was sure a nice compliment to hear! But, I said, "I think we should add more words to my bio, ones that don't sound so -- braggy". Then she said, "See, there's another reason why you're perfect Ariel, you wouldn't dream of bragging.". So I'm just going to elaborate a little about me and let you decide for yourself. I am very, very snuggly. I love love love being petted and scratched all over my body. Cuddling is just the absolute best thing in the whole entire world. I have very nice manners. For example, I will patiently wait for your attention when you're busy. I will spend my 'waiting time' happily lounging around in a sunny spot taking a cat nap or watching birds in the window. Then when I notice you giving me the signal that you're ready for some Ariel Love, I'll saunter on over so we can be together. I'm super good in the car on road trips. I am quiet in my travel carrier and this volunteer thinks I may even *like* traveling in a car. She said she's not met another cat that went into her travel carrier so easily and then remained so calm and quiet in the car. I am very forgiving. When I first arrived at Desert Haven I had been lost in the Wild for a few weeks time. I had a large gash on my leg and the folks here at Desert Haven got me to the vet for treatment. Then they had to apply antiseptic ointment for a few weeks until my owie went away. Even though I wasn't a fan of antiseptic treatments, I didn't hold a grudge, and when the treatment was over I showed the volunteers how much I still loved them and snuggled with them. They were just helping me get healthy again; I know that. I am a sweet and sensitive and darling little lady. I'm two years old and petite. I get along great with other cats, not being super playful at the moment, but I easily share space and enjoy human and feline and dog company. See?
