Hello! I am a vivacious and happy girl called Mamita! If you've got a minute, have a seat, grab a coffee, and I'll tell you my story. I had a family and a neighborhood. My family wasn't the greatest but I still thrived anyway. That's how great of a dog I am! Resilient and full of love. Bad treatment isn't going to get me down. I kept my chin up and my spirits high. That's me, optimistic and hopeful! I actually had some nice neighbor folk who kept an eye out for me and tried to help me. My neighbors were a sweet family with kind children and they let me walk with them to and from the school bus stop. I happily trotted along with this nice family. The neighbor kids were good to me and I was great with them too. To be honest, I secretly wished they were my very own family! But they weren't and that's OK. I still got to pretend and they loved on me and treated me nicely. Thanks, kind neighbors! Anyhow, now I'm rescued and living at Desert Haven and I'm having only good treatment and care here. The volunteers love me and snuggle me and walk with me and play with me. It's a good life! But what I'd like next is to find my very own loving family that I can join. I will make the BEST addition to a family! I have been cat-tested here at Desert Haven and stayed calm around the calm cats. I am affectionate and attentive to people. I walk nice on the leash, explore my surroundings, and have a very perky and sweet personality. I'm about 35 pounds and on the young side, maybe 1-2 years old. I meet people in a friendly way.
