Hi there! We are Babygirl and Rascal! And we want to share a fun fact with you which has been confirmed by every single person who has met us since we arrived in rescue here at Desert Haven Animal Refuge: two nicer dogs you will not meet! We are friendly, kind, sweet, and loving. We are both about four-years-old and had lived happily with a family for years. Then the family up and moved and did not take us along. Can you believe that? Dang, that stung a little. But, no worries because we are a resilient pair of pups and we know that there are plenty of good people out there that would LOVE to adopt a ready-made pair of wonderful dogs that already know how to live successfully as part of a family. We both have friendly temperaments and loving personalities. We keep each other company perfectly. We are so incredibly affectionate that our people will never want for snuggles. We're very good dogs who make excellent companions. We are obedient and gentle and loving. We've been introduced to cats and been gentle and good with cats. Personal details about me, Rascal (60 pounds): I meet people in a friendly and gentle way. I'm a boy who is a little on the timid side compared to my bestie, Babygirl, who is more confident. She will come right up to you for affection. I might wait in the wings then when I see your kindness to Babygirl I will be next in line for your affections. I love being petted and leaning on you. I lean into your love and like to make eye contact to share my love with you. I flop over onto my back the second I notice you look like you're into "rubbing Rascal's tummy" mode. Oh gosh getting my tummy scratched makes this boy very happy I must say! For the most part, I do rely on my bestie, Babygirl, for security and love to be by her side. Don't get me wrong though, I adore my people too! I would like walks together, adventures together, sofa time together, but mostly I would simply like being yours. I want my family to take me along on life's adventures. Personal details about me, Babygirl (75 pounds): I am a confident and friendly girl. I get very excited to be with people so I might jump at first when I meet you but it's a gentle jump and I am attentive and smart so am easily correctable. Jovial is a great way to describe me -- I just ooze happiness and joy. I am a friendly girl with an interest in exploring my new spaces and taking it all in. I love being petted and making you happy. When I look at you with love in my eyes, you will feel like the luckiest person on the planet. I am a great friend to my buddy, Rascal, and act as a sort of mama-figure to him. I can see he relies on me and I handle that responsibility with love and care. I show him people are good and kind so we can both enjoy the pleasures in life that people offer. We are a dynamic duo that melt the heart of everyone who meets us. Pair perfection! So, here we are! Ready to start the next phase of our lives with a family that holds us both close to their hearts.
